C43 Oil cooler

i wonder if anyone can help. i noticed traced of oil behind the front off side wheel arch cover. i didn't have a great deal of time to go into a full investigation but it looks as though the oil cooler is leaking. Is this a common fault and if so what should i be looking for. i suspect the leak is the hoses rather than the oil cooler itself.
