Online builder recommendation/quotes

Seen a site knocking round the P+P recently where you can get recommendations for a local builder, or post a job and have people email you quotes, can anyone remember it?

Most builders who have a website / address will give you a quote from plan..

Nope, I wanted the link for a mate that's just bought a new house, I think it's myhammer.co.uk.

I've just used it to put a job up and received some questions - but not completed a transaction as it were. Seems to work well, however.

I used that one as well to quote for some building work. Be prepared for a whole swathe of replies and some really shocking quotes. Some of the builders pick random numbers out of their heads and call them a 'quote'. I'd ignore those but there seem to be some good guys on there with positive feedback.
mybuilder also has an option to restrict your replies to builders with positive feedback only - i'd recommend using this option.

Thanks. Interesting. I did spot (and use) the positive only option. We've got some visits/quotes being done this week so I'll see then. One thing that bothered me is that word-of-mouth usually gets the good guys plenty of work - so surely only the "rest" would need a site like that...
