RX8 problem please help

Hi my rx8 dash keeps flashing with the radiator light as if it is over heating due to lack of water thing is water level is spot on oil is also fine the light comes on when either driving on motorway or stuck in traffic its fine from 40mph to 85-90 but below or over this it comes on if i take it out of gear and coast it goes away i am thinking rad fans???? any ideas i have never heard the fans kick in normally in my other cars after a long drive you hear the fans run for a while when you park up

if anyone has eperiance this before please let me no or if anyone has any ideas just write cheers
