If you're travelling northbound on the M3 and planning to exit at J3, when you enter the contraflow DON'T use the outside lane, as that takes you across the central reservation onto the southbound carriageway, and you then can't leave that lane until you're passed the junction.

Leaving you to go up to the M25, down to J11 then double back on yourself...

This has been in full use for three more than weeks.
Ground works and excavation have not even started yet - bunch a wkers.

Sunday night North bound J3 was rammed.
As it was this morning and tailing back to Fleet.
Lucky I was going South.

If I am working London area or need to travel that way I now have to
leave home an extra hour eairler...

This work could be done on a 24hour 7day week basis.
Just have the North bound down to two lanes and forget the contraflow
which screws up the South bound journey.

What's the contraflow in place for? Never seems obvious what work is being carried out...

The rework to J2 of the M3 was meant to be complete last year, has been there for 2 years now.
They've extended it because they want to further test the 50mph speed limit through the reworked lanes and see whether it's worth keeping that section to a 50

ITS CALLED JOB CREATION nothing better to do in highways planning office.
The results weren't what they wanted first time around, so they are going to manipulate them this time round (oh wasn't i supposed to say that?)

Shock announcement, travelling down the slip road at 7:15am this morning, i saw some actual workers. Well i say workers as the were in the transit van drinking tea.

Anyone actually think they will be finished in June as planned?

To be fair though 90% of workers, office and site based don't do much till the morning brew is done and sorted.

But why has no work been done over the weekend ???

Its for drainage, but the problem is further back towards junction 2 and 1, so no idea why they are diggin around junction 3
