At the Classic Car show last weekend I found a one page (2 sided) specification leaflet for the 420 which was made for the 1986 Motor Show.

Are these brochures quite common (he was only asking £3)?

AND

What happened to the prototype (of the car not the brochure!)?

And before anyone posts it - yes I know that there was a paragraph on this brochure in the Oct 2002 Sprint

I managed to get one off ebay for about the same price recently. I should think the actual car is long gone, chopped up in little bits. Such a shame all the 'prototypes' aren't kept in some sort of museum. Original Speed 12, Speed 6/Tuscan, Speed 8, Zante, White Elephant, etc.

Cheers Al.

As far as I can remember, the 420 Saloon was chopped up and became the basis for Peter's 'White Elephant'
