Hi Fellow enthusiasts, this is my first posting on here so please go easy !, I have just sold my beloved Kit Car a Tiger Cat E1, my situation has change so it had to go, however I am looking at the possibility of getting a second hand Coooper S around 3-4 tears old, which will be used for work and play!
I will be buying privately so anything I should look out for, and I understand that some cars purchased new could have service charges included for a price, if so can this be transfered to the new owner.
Sorry one last question,I am fairly tall 6ft 3 are there any issues with steering height and seat adjustment for tall drivers.
Bit long winded, but thanks in Advance

The service pack - known as TLC - is with the car rather than the owner. I believe it last for 5 years from purchase but can be topped up for a further 3 with a pack known as TLC XL.

Evening

The TLC pack should have been bought by almost all Mini owners - it was so cheap (approx £150) for 5 years or 50,000 miles servicing. From memory the TLC XL costs about £300 for a further three years.

Height adjustment for the driver is pretty good on the Cooper S. I am short arsed (6 foot) and have no problems at all. One of my mates is 6 foot 4 and has no problems - except when someone needs to sit behind him.

Have fun with the test drives.....

I am 6'2" and have plenty of room. I also have the seat set quite high and still have headroom. You would not be able to sit behind me though!

I bought a Cooper S last week and im 6'2" I fit in with loads of head room. It also had a TLC XL pack from the last owner who paid £300 for it and its for the car doesnt matter who owns it. It gives me free servicing up to 80,000 miles, mines done 65K. go into any Mini dealer with the reg number of the car you want to buy and they will run it through their computer for you. I found them VERY helpful.

Look for creaky steer columns, squealing flywheels, clutches on there way out, as they can be expensive to put right

Thank's all for the info, obviously no worries with regard to leg room head height etc.
