Hi all,

Well ive had my car for a month now and...well....what a car

Really dont want to drive anything else

Couple of questions if anyone can help please@

Ive found a multi changer behind the seat. I have the original head unit fitted still. I cannot however work out how to move on to the next cd. I cannot find that option on the head unit. I hope that makes sense. I dont have the manual unfortunatley

Car is booked in to be looked at for the following

Whenever i go over a bump it makes a pretty loud bang behind me, like something is not secured properly

My door/window/wing mirror (one of them) rattles very annoyingly

Just wondered if this has happened to anyone else?

Any help appreciated as be good to have an idea

Thanks

Paul

On the mirrors just try folding them in then out again. Mine tend to reset themselves then. Ref the CD changer - know idea....I can't be arsed to use it.

Good to see you enjoying the hardest to drive, temperamental (yet gorgeous) car out there.

Welcome to the pack!!

From memory, I think you pick the disk by getting it in multi cd mode then press the eject button until you get to what number disc you want,,,,, I think,, would check but car is away having a new diff seal fitted.

I would say the knock behind you is either engine mount or suspension mount,,,, mine had similar and was an easy fix

the other knock I would say is the door poorly aligned or the latch has worn causing the knocking sound

awesome cars !!!

what's happening with hotel Neil ????

My 2005 Murci has the Lamborghini badged standard unit in it, which IIRC is a rebadged Grundig system with multichanger. Fill up the changer, turn on the head unit then use the 'Mode' button (on the left of the unit) to swap between radio, CD & MCD (Multi CD) - the head unit plays single CD's on CD mode and the changer on the MCD channel.

Hope this helps smile

I have an 06 with original unit. Not sure if it's the same. On that you push in the right hand button and rotate through the CDs.

hi all

thank you all so much for your quick responses. put my mind at rest!

im just about to take it to grimaldi now to leave with them whilst im away working for a few days

i really am loving the car so much (much to the amusement of my wife and 5 kids!!)

have my eyes open for some roadster or hermera wheels at the moment - if anyone knows of any going please let me know......

mark - i'll give you a buzz later - lot of stress with busines at the moment so a few days away could be just the tonic!!

simon - hi mate, real pleasure to meet you. as you may have realised as we turned off, in my haste i took the A130 not the A12 and had a long detour home. doh... 355 looked stunning!

right........ sun is out, car is ready and i've a 40 mile blat to halstead across some lovely roads

cheers

They are not "Roadster" rims, they are 'Hercules' rims.

They just released in 05 when the Murci was updated, but most cars made that year were Roadsters (they were released then)....I did hear a whisper about lack of non Roadster bodyshells due to some supplier issue that year, which also meant lower numbers of tin tops (but that could be internet boll0x

I remember something like that at the time as well - all felt a little like 'slow-build-anticipation-pent-up-demand-enhancing' to me then as well...

fwiw, I think the Hermera wheels look fantastic though I know they're not to everyone's taste... on the other hand, the big Murciélago wheel on the September/October page of the official factory 2002 calendar shows one of the 5-hole wheels that were fitted to the original cars which looks very striking (mostly) in isolation to say the least!

edited to add: 1,000 up then Steve!! Well done - 2k for me soon enough, seems like just last week since I first posted on PistonHeads!

From the problems I've had with Eurospares 'parts' they probably wont fit a Murcielago.

Stick to Original items, much cheaper in the long run.
