Thank gawd for that they've got rid of her daft perm. I know it was very 80s but I never liked them at the time.

I just hope it's better than the first series. frown

Maybe it's because I was born at the start of the Seventies, but Life on Mars was just television perfection, whereas Ashes to Ashes was a poor follow-on in my view.

I agree entirely. Ashes to Ashes was watchable, but nowhere in the same league as Life On Mars (which is the finest TV Drama series of the past decade or more in my opinion).

Still, I'm happy to watch some more of Gene Hunt.

I grew up in the 80s believing that the 70s was the most unfashionable decade ever and I still think that LOM is superior.

Let's look at the evidence of the fashion.

Perm
Leg Warmers
Luminous colours
Shell Suits
Spandex
Shoulder Pads to the max
Bleached Jeans

Anyway on the part of the show. Would prefer another series of Life on Mars over Ashes to Ashes. I did get bored halfway through the series and not watch any more.

Sorry I disagree. I was born in the 70's but because of my age at the time identify far more strongly with the 80's... whilst I enjoyed LoM I thought Ashes to Ashes was even better! smokin

Oh bloody hell Im going to start looking at sodding Quattro ads again arent I?

When you have sold your car to buy a house and be sensible "because you werent really using the car anyway dear, you commute most days by train and you say yourself its just sitting in the garage wasting money" you *really*really* get withdrawal symptoms.

Even if Im not using it, I miss just knowing something interesting is sat in the garage!

Looks good, I'll be sure to watch record this. Been a fan since the start of Life on Mars.
