SRP is a polish, not a LSP (wax). To get the best wet look or to offer a really good shine you need to invest in the right tools to apply a good wax and then to select the best wax for your car.

For lifesan Collinite is near impossible to beat, then just apply something else for shine.

The best waxes in no real order include, Swissvax, Zymol, Dodo Juice, Collinite, Victoria Wax, Meguiars, Mothers, Autoglym Hi Def Wax, Chemical Guys, Natty's and I am sure there are more.

How much do you want to spend, how serious are you about getting the best from your car and how much time to you have to prepare and apply the wax?

Is that a regular metallic silver, brakedust?
Collinite is a good wax, well, hybrid polymer wax - but the product I recommend most is Bilt Hamber Auto-balm, which has the legs on the Colly.
That said, silver is quite a hard colour to get anything off other than just a nice glossy shine.
The new Zaino look interesting, if the darkening of the colour isn't a placebo effect - Auto-balm will do that as well.
Then again, there's other new technology sealants coming now - Nanolex and G|Techniq.

As for the Glare - one Aussie detailer swears by it, but the formulation is different from the USA's one, and we're none the wiser if the UK's is the Aussie version or the original US one.
They've not exactly done much by way of offering any of us on Detailing World a sample to review, etc, so it's still pretty much an unknown quantity.
Although, to be absolutely fair, Mike at The Polishing Company has been impressed with it, and I think now stocks/uses it on details.
So, whilst I'll champion the Auto-balm as punching well above its weight at £15 a jar, it might be worth having a chat with Mike, and see if the he can sell you on the more expensive Glare.
Similarly the other two mentioned above.

The biggest issue with recommending certain products above those that are average at best, is you get into the realm of one man's meat, is another's poison. In other words, what float's one person's boat, might not be shared by another for one or a number of reasons.

For conventional waxes, I prefer to work with Dodo Juice ones, but the Victoria are there too, for similar money, and Clearkote and Valentine's are noteworthy as well.

Ultimately, out of ALL those, whichever one you decide upon, you'll not be short-changed.

Cheers for that PJ, its actualy more of a gold/silver but the hanger lights make it look more of a silver.

I have used the bilt-hamber stuff before (not the wax) but I have used there deox gel and hydrate 80, both very very good products so ill have a bash with there wax! cheers for the help and advice!

No worries - it's not a wax though, but a paste based sealant.
As you're getting that, you should get one of the Auto-clays too (soft) to decontaminate the paintwork.
Run your fingertips over it when wet from rinsing, with clingfilm or sandwich bag, and if it feels rough in places, then it needs claying.
Might also be worth grabbing some Surfex HD too - very useful for a pre-wash treatment before putting wash mitt and shampoo solution near the paintwork, unless you go the whole hog (assuming you've a pressure washer) and use their Auto-foam instead. Even so, SHD comes in handy for other aspects of cleaning - bugs removal, engine bay cleaning, and door shuts.

Again, if you need any instruction on how to use, stick your head above the parapet.

Definately wasn't placebo, first thing I said when we buffed the first layer of Z-Euro off was how the silver had darkend, I even grabbed the PTG to check for repainted panels, all reading factory levels.

Good stuff then - should endear some users to it now, who weren't fussed on the typical Zaino look.
