I'm going to a track day at Silverstone tomorrow. Could anyone tell me what tyre pressures to use please?

What car?
Opinions vary! I have an M400 with motorsport Corsas and find that lowering pressures to 18 lbs front and 28lbs rear (measured cold) is best for me. Others increase tyre pressures. Best thing is to start with recommended pressures and alter to suit your driving and track conditions . Does mean that you need a good pressure gauge and access to air. Having said that, if you don't have the will/time to phaff around with all that, then you'll still have oudles of grip with standard pressures. Just remember if it's open pit lane not to stay out more than 20 mins at a stretch as even with current temps you'll start to shred your tyres.

I seem to recall Lee Noble saying standard pressures for track "work".
