e46 33d Alarm issues

Hi there i have a 2003 330d that has a nice habit of waking me up most nights via the cars alarm system. The motion sensors seem to be very sensitive and if you rock the car the alarm will sound easily. Most of the time though it will go off on its own. Does anybody know if the sensitivity can be turned down on the alarm system itself or any other input on why the alarm is sounding.

i would try disconnecting the bonnet switch,it then defaults to the closed position,more often than not the switch goes faulty and thinks the bonnet is open when its closed.Disconnect it and see if the alarm triggering stops.
