Anyone know this car and able to comment on its history?

The ad claims that it is original:
"Howarth was a race team SVR driver and therefore was able to specify the SVR spoiler when his order was taken making this SV the only example delivered to the UK with such a spoiler from new."
I agree it looks terrible, but at least it seems that it is original.

Would that be Ben's car - or did his have a different wing?
t'is or at least it was in 2008...I thought HF-B's first name was Howard... if Quackers is watching, he can confirm that!
I seem to have lost my SVR tee shirt, somebody, possibly Mrs XXVIII has some explaining to do...
edited to add: Mrs XXVIII has asked me to point out that the said SVR tee fits her very well but not XXVIII himself anymore and says I should stop calling her at work when she's so busy...

...whatever registration number is given and whatever is said about the car in the DK advert:
That Diablo was sold by TopGear Speciality Cars to the current (?) owner some time ago. That guy is a Member of LCUK and he listed the SV in our records with the number plate seen in the advert's pictures. A very eagle-eyed viewer might just be able to see what looks like a TopGear window sticker in the passenger side rear window of the car, though it might just be me who sees that...
fwiw, that wing could easily be removed by whoever buys the car, should it offend them... We've all seen far grimmer looking excesses on Diablos, other Lamborghinis, other cars of all kind, (usually, thankfully elsewhere than the UK!)
If this Diablo were mine, I'd keep the wing just to annoy (some) people. What's the point of a Lamborghini wing if it doesn't make people argue about it?
How's that old phrase go?
The wing's the thing??

The number plate is mentioned 3 times in the text, once actually matching the photos, and twice with presumably a typing error.
There was a car like this at one of the Brooklands events some years ago. There was also a LHD green VT, beige interior, with very similar rear wing on foreign plates at Donington, again many years ago.

Hi there,
I have seen this car on many occasions as it is a regular at events like Supercar Sunday at Gaydon. I am not a huge fan of the colour (I never have any luck with Green cars) and have always thought the wing looked wrong and a bit aftermarket.
Having read the advert from DK and particularly this bit: -
"Howarth was a race team SVR driver and therefore was able to specify the SVR spoiler when his order was taken making this SV the only example delivered to the UK with such a spoiler from new"
it has made me look at the car in a different light. The wing is not a Halfords 'bolt-on' job, it is an original factory SVR wing put on by the factory from new at the request of the owner who raced a Diablo SVR. I think the wing should stay put.
Wouldn't buy it myself but not because of the wing.
Regards
Tim
