Hi all,

I am giving serious thought to maybe selling my Rolex Air King and was after some advice on how to go about it, although it has some sentimental value (parents gave it to me for graduation) I have discussed it and as I hardly ever wear it we have decided I might as well sell it and put the money to better use.

Firstly what’s the best method to sell, I was thinking of putting it on eBay or the PH classified but to be honest the thought of the scammers etc this may attract is putting me off, any ideas for a better way? Secondly how to get a decent valuation for it as I’m sure watches being a luxury good have suffered like most things in the current climate.

Not too sure on the older stuff, but I have a couple of Rolex's and at the moment, thanks to Rolex's annual price increases they're a better bet than money in the bank (assuming the obvious thing that you can find a buyer).

I wouldn't sell it unless you *really* need the cash or can't raise it in a cheaper way.
