roof colour....

Ive just noticed on a pic i have of a sunny day (rare i know which is prob why i missed it) that the roof section colour on my hardtop is different to the rear section... only had the car nearly a year now and just twigged,roof is blue,but dark at that,and the rear section is black......previous owner had the roof replaced,but not sure which section,did he cock up and get the wrong colour,or are all rear sections black irrespective of hard top fitted? (have seen bright red top and rear on a chim,so suspect this not the case)
They should both be the same colour (don't think I've heard of another one where they are different). Sounds like, as you suggest, one bit got changed and they didn't get matched. Possibly at the time a new rear was needed black was the only colour in stock and the hard top didn't get done.
