Intake manifold

Hey all.

I'm interested in powder coating my intake manifold the same colour as my car. I've seen an intake manifold to buy, however its off a 1999 car and I was wondering if it would be any problem to fit on my 1997?

Hi Craig

What condition is your manifold in? I have one on mine that has been painted but needs doing again but i really want to go back to the stock look and was hoping to do a deal with FB, between the three of us we may be able to do a three way swap using FB's spare one so neither of us have any downtime.

Its in fine working order, no problems there, but it does look its age a little and would benefit from a paint or stripping down and powder coating.

No problem Craig and apologies for disappearing off the planet (i nearly did aswell!), apparently they don't have Internet access inside the arctic circle well at least our hotels was broken all weekend, and having posted that from LHR i was intending to follow up later in the day.

Please excuse my ignorance, but regarding the powder coating on the manifold, does it need to be heat powder coated? I presume it would being part of the engine and all, but just wanted to make sure. Also, Baz, is it you that does the powder coating, or somebody you know that does it well?
