Discussion
I'll probably be going.. if I can get away from the DIY for a few hours, but then I only live 10 minutes away from Westpoint (and Peninsula
)

don't think i could face taking their corsa up the 303!

No , not skid panning at the moment, what's been up with your car mate, mine's up there too.
No, not yet Corin.
After my initial thoughts came the uncertainty, then the need for a Tiv came back with a vengeance.
Bumped into Richard Mayoh on the forecourt the other day and he said to come in for a chat and a coffee (hence today). Don't anticipate buying one today (although you never know
), but would like to talk more with those in the know and assess my options/budget, etc.

Seriously though. On the advice of so many on here, I will be trying out a few before I do buy. Today may even kick start that process if I'm lucky.
I'll look out for your car. Cannot wait to be able to tag along for a blast with other South West Tivvers in my own car!

i'll be going - probably tomorrow. Every year i go anticipating it will be better than the last one. It never is. Same cars, same junk stalls. Still, i couldn't not go so tomorrow it is.
Corin - this is perhaps a better way of communicating seeing as we keep missing each other's calls. You coming up tomorrow? Perhaps we could tie it in with a cheeky beer

Blimey, everyones cars are in at Peninsula.
I'm off down there later today for a chat with the guys, so I can cast an eye around and check that your Tivs are receiving the appropriate and deserved TLC (not that there is any doubt).
See you down there!
My SEAC has been there all week for some work and I'm headed down there this afternoon to retireve it.
That was my plan Duncan, although I have a 3 million squid tender to prepare for Tuesday mid-day, gotta be on site in Exeter this afternoon, DJing tonight and on site in Ashburton Monday morning so I might have to go into the office tomorrow - bugger, but I could always leave just after lunch........

Chaps, not going to Westpoint, got parents up for the weekend. Kdd, worry not your misses will fit okay, my wife is only 5'2" and drives it no problem - without the PAS! Only thing you might need to invest in is the adjustable pedals from Leven Tech.
Saw your car Corin, just after I reversed into it
only kidding.
What I want to know is, what's all this talk of exotica being loaned out by Peninsula?? I've got a Primera of 1995 vintage!!!

Eeeek. I think I'd better leave my cheque book at home then...... we're *trying* to stick to the advice of looking at quite a few before buying one, and not just buying the first one we like........
Thanks,
Karl
Karl,
Warning! I bought the second one I saw, and both were at Peninsula. I only bought the second one because it was blue and the other was green (so I tell the wife). In reality, my car had a lot of work done to it before I bought it and the opportunity was too good to miss.
I know Peninsula have a lot of Chims at the moment (something like 12) and all but 3 are 4L. You basically will just have to pick the colour - leave mine alone!
