I know of a few people on a Triumph forum who just bought a few of these. they are going to get back to me on what they are like. so I shall report back when I know more
I have had some feedback from their sales bods to say that they are not waterproof & not suitable for a bike. But I'd be pleased to hear any feedback you have.I have one, bought primarily for the car but I think it would be possible to mount it on the bike. As long as you can keep it dry.
It works very well and is easy to update. It has a very loud alarm and flashes when you get near to camera's etc. one of the good touches is that it keeps alerting you if you are in excess of the speed limit for that camera. Internal battery lasts quite a long time and recharges via a USB port or supplied cig lighter adapter. You can customise the settings on them, jow far before a camera they will alert etc.
I have the M1 version also which is specifically for a bike which uses a LED to alert you. This is also pretty good but is a much bigger unit and I am struggling to find somewhere to mount it on my KTM. Though it is totally waterproof.

I have the M1 & you're right - it's a pain to locate the base unit. Also, I have two bikes so easy interchangeability is key.It works very well and is easy to update.
