Read that freezing the brake discs can increase their life five fold. Has anyone done this here. I have just had to buy some for my Cerbera on the back and they are silly money. So was thinking to do this to them so replacement will be less frequent.
I had my Supersport 600 engine treated in this way back in 02, it never popped, but i cant say it would have done anyway.

I guess the reduced wear comes because it makes the material harder, but it also makes it more brittle. Given that discs already have a tendency to crack at the best of times, I'm not sure that is a good idea.

Any website with the word "testimonials" on the front page has me thinking along the lines of serpentine extracts.

They don't list any aeronautical applications/customers. I wonder why they haven't managed to get into that market?

I'd want to see some serious independently verified tests before I sent off my CDs or mains leads to be frozen let alone safety critical components of my pride and joy!
