This Sunday is the annual Jaguar spares day at Stoneleigh, anyone going?

More to the point has anyone been before? I'm thinking of going but its a 6hr+ journey so i want to be sure its worth it.

I'm looking for parts for a 68 420G mainly brakes & suspension bushes, i'm presuming i would find them there?

Any info about the day from those who have been is most welcome. smile

I've been a couple of times. There are a good number of stalls there with a good range of old and modern. You may get lucky and find the stuff you need, but even if you don't, you'll still have an opportunity to speak to the stallholders and discuss you're requirements - they then may know where to source them or take your details for if/when they do come across what you need.

Whether it's worth a six hour trip though is up to you.

Hi groomi, thanks for that pretty much thought the same as your saying. Are the prices a bit cheaper than buying direct from the likes of SNG or David Manners?

Can't say I ever really noticed, although ofcourse if you're dealing face to face with a pile of notes in your hand you have the opportunity to barter...

I think that SNG Barrat give a discount if you contact them and arrange to collect at Spares Day. You save the postage too.

I've been once. I'd arranged to see David Lonsdale there who rebuilds SUs, I bought a pair of HD8s and manifold. It's quite good to look around to get ideas about what is possible as well as looking for specific things.
