I have a 55 plate Mondeo with, I think, the Sony 6000 cd model. The voice functions work fine but the phone isn't detected. I have switched bluetooth on on the phone and searched for other devices and my phone finds "Ford Audio" but when I try to pair the devices, my phone either says "Pairing failed" or asks for a code. I have managed to get the Sony stereo to come up with VID, which I assume is a code, so I have tried putting a code in, but it is weird, you have to press button 1, then 2, then 3, then 4 to get '1111' or press each button twice to get '2222' etc. Not sure if that is even anything to do with it, because even if change the 'VID' and put same number in on the phone, it still says it is the wrong code.

There is nothing about it in the manual, other than a reference to another manual, that I don't have!

Any help would be much appreciated, seems a good feature if only I can get it to work!

cheers

PIECE OF CAKE. if it is the sony6000 what i did was go into your bluetooth menu in your fone and select search new devices, it should find "ford audio" if so select connect to ford audio, now your sony 6000 should now display "PIN" AND THEN A 4 DIGIT CODE, enter this code into your fone and hey presto your connected. if it doesnt work 1st time dont worry just repeat prosess untill it does. gud look.

i think its a great feature BUT..... your grammer and pronunciation must be clear and precise to get some of the funtions to work which i must admit is very amusing somtimes for example the other day i got a little upset with the voice control as i was tring to activate my "CD PLAYER",i was having no luck so i got abusive and started to swear at her and after a few harsh words she gently replied "smooth fm" LOL this must be the anti road rage device...D0G...
