Coming home tonight after a week in Amazingstoke at my new job, A1 Northbound just heading past Gateshead about home. This chavved up Astra goes past with his mate (in a white 56 plate Focus ST) in tow. Astra pulls over and the ST starts to tap his brakes, flash his hazards, slow and speed up. The Astra guns it and the ST drops back level with me, staring at me, revving it, limiting the car then looking at me again.

What in the name of christ on a bike does this young c*ck omlette think is going to happen when the 6.0l V8 circa 450bhp car does launch it? The little sh*t blistering crab w*nker got bored and sat with me doing 68mph for around 5 minutes before I turned off to my house.

That's like me pulling level with a Zonda and waving my tadger at him, what a fool.

Rant over.

Pull to the next traffic lights and the knob says anyone can drive fast in a straight line, eh hes just nearly wrapped his car into mine aswell as four other cars, what a tit

couple of years ago I did have a brief play with a corsa b, went past him doing 140 leptons up a hill coz he was hitting around 120, shortly after when I had slowed and pulled back in to normal cruising speed he went back past me this time doing around 130 downhill - pulled out to make a point and drew level then decided to let him go as I didnt want to be around when his car fell apart.

I even get that crap driving my black V70R AWD... I spanked one eejit in his Ford Mucas off a roundabout and up the hill towards the next one, so he pulls level with me at some lights with his car full of chicks mouthing something derogatory to me. I guess it hurts to know you drive a Ford and that you can be embarrassed by a dude in a Volvo estate with some whacky haircut...

Imagine the hassle I'm going to have with my matt black supercharged 700hp 1972 HQ... Should be fun!! driving

Not all of us with Focus STs want to race, nor do we take the piss out of those of you who bought a Vauxhall.

Or the Volvo driver whose I5 engine was put to FAR better use in something that handles. wink

Ummm my Volvo handles well enough on the twisties to keep up with your average Scoobydoo. 4WD and lots of grunt! Why do you think TWR used the old 850 in touring car and that the touring car authorities subsequently changed the aerodynamic rules... I guess F*rd gave you chaps the larger displacement, de-tuned version of the I5 so you don't all torque steer yourselves into ditches eh...

Good effort on trying to get a reaction which involes bitching, name calling and other childing retorts.

I never said that they ALL want to race, just this one, fashion hair wearing 5 door driving ass clown. I can't for the life of me think why I'd want to mock someone for buying a Ford, Vauxhall or other main brand car.

I commented on a situation .....

Chap, it was tongue-in-cheek, hence the ';)' at the end of my comments. You boys really are serious in here, aren't you?

ST3 Focus's are nice cars. I drove one recently as thought about it as a second car/work hack but the difference in power is like night and day TBH, no comparison really although the ST would be a bit easier around town...

I agree, trouble is what do you do when your beloved is within financial reach of spotty yoofs?

If it gets too chavtastic around here I might get Mark to put my engine into an Ultima.

I've just been trying to buy the Astra VXR as my daily - didn't work out (no discount at 5 dealers, 3 months to wait and crazy finance deals put me off) but actually, a really nice car.. Focus is the same, nice car - but just a bit juicy for daily use for me. Ho hum!

To be honest I don't think that will happen, the insurance and fuel costs will see them off.
