Anyone got a picture of Leven Wipers on their Griff/Chim?
Discussion
It's not a brilliant picture but you can see them;

RichB, you didnt answer my mail to you, or did you and it got lost? Got my washers from a Merc sprinter, they attatch to the arm and have four jets.
Very efficient these babies are. Sadly, I regularly drive a sprinter, got leven ones on my griff (xmas pressy from gf few years back).Dave.

Sorry David, I've been busy on other stff, thanks... I found a Blaupunkt one I had laying around in the garage which I am going to try first, I'll get back to you to let you know how I get on
Rich...Thanks for this, it helped but my problem is that the wiper blade rocks up and down as the wiper changes direction, I've tried to indicate this movement with the yellow arrow. basically it's very slack / floppy on it's mounting and it twists or rocks about, consequently on the upward swipe the black plastic spray block hits the glass and when it does this it does it with a quite a whack, this in turn has scratched the screen where I've drawn the grey lines, which is a bit of a s
t!
Racing Green gave me the original stuff back so I will try to b
dise the arms and blades to make one working set-up, at the moment they are unusable.

ETA I didn't realise we couldn't say b
dise? I thought it was a genuine engineering term for making something work with a mixture of odd parts !!!

RichB, are you saying that the "P" clip (that the blade pivots in) which clips into the "U" of the wiper arm is loose?
Humm... not sure, there just seems to be so much slack in all the little joints and hinges that the actual rubber bit just rolls forward and allows the washer to hit the glass, all very frustrating!RichB said:

Looking at a picture of a Chimaera on the TVRCC forum I reckon my arms are on right but the blade carriers are on the wrong arms. One blade structure (don't know what you call this) is asymetrical in that the centre bridge (the bits with 4 slots in it) arches away from the glass on one side but is flat where it lies under the arm. This one is on the drivers side and I think it should be on the passenger side.

iirc when i fitted mine it touched the screen a little, i carefully removed it the jet a moved it up slightly...
t! Thought about it some more and vaguely recollect that when I fitted mine, the nearside arm was slightly twisted and the blade/blade carrier wasn't being held at 90 Deg. to the wind screen, and I had to tweak/twist the arm with pliers and clip the wiper back in it. Never had issue with it being loose tho?

I think you have the answer ... that asymmetrical one should be on the passenger side so the blade can bend more around the curved edge of the windscreen. Fitted mine a few week back so its still fresh in my mind !
