Murceilago 6.2 Questions
Discussion
A few questions for the UK spec 6.2, I would appreciate your input.
1) Do the mirrors fold in either manually or electronically?
2) Were parking sensor ever an option?
3) Was the Alpine Unit the standard fit?
4) What are CI badges?
5) If I buy the car from Lambo and it has a few months warranty left is that all the car is covered for or do they issue a one year warranty?
6) In your experience what is the best aftermarket warranty for the 6.2?
I am getting mixed responses from Independant dealers and thought I'd ask the guys in the know
Many Thanks

Hi Callughan...
Hopefully I can help:
1). Mirrors are Powerfold.
2). Park Sensors have never been an option - reverse camera optional on LP640 >
3). Early cars had Grundig systems similar to some Bentley product at the time.
4). CI Badges are the Crests in the wheels (Corporate Identity).
5). Lamborghini don't currently offer an extended warranty - they are working on it.
6). Not sure how you go about privately purchasing a warranty to be honest as have never done it!
Hope that's of some use - good luck with the hunt...

I've also been advised that the speaker system is not very good and should be updated.
...the superb cassette radio in my 1973 Lamborghini is able to rip, shred and tear tapes to tatters in seconds but, should the radio be required instead of that particularly fine entertainment, a full range of radio stations are available.
These include the very listenable Radio Skrrrrrrreeee...eeeee...eeeeeeeech, the more middle-of-the-road Radio bzzzzbzzzzbzzzz and of course, those who prefer load and mighty classical music will enjoy Radio Bip, Bip, Biiip, Bammmmm! for the moments when eight, ten or twelve cylinders giving it the full-on great big Y A H O O ! aren't enough!!

A little bird said to me that the likes of Tubi, Capristo and Quicksilver make great alternatives to any other musical additions for a Lamborghini...

I would be looking to install MS Racing Stage II.
All the cars I have seen have Alpine units and was also informed that Blaupunkt was the standard fit radio? Prehaps they changed their suppliers through the years.
Lastly were ceramics ever available?
Many thanks.

Yes the stereos have been fairly useless over the years!
We have supplied one recently that had an additional amp, better speakers, and subs fitted behind both seats.
Sounded awesome.
But I also have to agree that isn't the best noise the car can produce!
Ceramics came on LP640 - optional first but standard now. You could get a set fitted.
For about 15 grand!
