Bugger - forgot how long the front end is.

Parking up in Tescos to get a little shopping, a VW Lupo next to me. I look at the Lupo and think I've got loads of room forgetting the Lupo was 3/4 of the way down the parking space due to it being so short. Next thing I know and bang! The front end of my car is now up on the kerb. Reversed it off and theres massive scrapes on the underside including about an inch high on the paint right across the entire width from where the black underseal stops. Bugger!! At least it's only visible from underneath.
You don't have much luck, do you mate? At least it's out of sight I guess!
Picked mine up from Trimar after a 12k service, new engine mounts and new track rod ends.

Was going to arrange to meet but had no easy way to contact you, plus the weather was foul so I came more or less straight home.

Unlucky Zippee... When i first got mine i was parking it forwards into a bay with a wall in front of me and i was amazed how close i was when i got out! I thought i had plenty of room too. Glad i decided to stop when i did!
Can they be polished out? or it not worth it?
Gone right through the paint so will require a sand/fill & respray. can't be seen though unless you're on your hands and knees so lucky I guess. Good reminder of just how low the front end is as well.Can they be polished out? or it not worth it?
Mark - unlucky is my middle name unfortunately. I'm popping over to Sebring next Saturday for Matt to do a through check over of my car now its back from Castle/Power. Can meet up afterwards if you like for a chat and to share stories...

I've come so close to doing the same in my T350c after not driving it for a while and getting used to "normal" cars and the length of their noses. always find I'm miles away when reversing into spots so I try and park that way!
I would recommend Powers Bodyshop in Northampton (http://www.powersbodyshop.com) for any bodywork. My car has been completely resprayed by them, Greg Lunn (owner) is a great guy as well. I live in Cambridge and am willing to travel to him due to the good service and he knows his stuff.

I have perspex rear windows which have been tinted very dark which makes them look black from the outside. Works well I think especially on my new paint job, you can still see through them from the inside but helps hide what I had before where the black edge was peeling away and looking messy. I think it looks good on my new paint job
