My poor car is hurt. I had just collected it from it's MOT test and was heading back to work up the dual carriage way. Left lane was full of traffic up to roundabout so moved into right lane. Doing less than 30. Taffic on left now stationary. Person pulls out from road on left, between two stationary cars in left lane to cross dual carriage way and turn right. She does not look. Appears three car lengths in front of me not even looking to her right. Bang. New bonnet, radiator, lights, etc etc. Very little damage to hers. Did I shout. No I was nice. Can you believe that she is saying the accident was not her fault?

Oh arse, bad luck mate !!

Don't wait about though, while its all fresh in your memory write down all the details you can think of of before, during and after... who was indicating, who wasn't, what other cars were doing etc etc.. who said what.. by the time you see a claim form you may have forgotten something vital.

All the best for a speedy recovery..

Matt.

Edite to add... I would have shouted..

Hmmmmm... did you hit her from behind?? If you did you could be shafted.

Did you get any registration # of people around you?

Hope it all works out, wouldn't want you to join the 10% for this year.

Had a numpty reverse into me slowly the other day. Have the reg, just in case.

If she was turning right then it must have been a side-on collision. In which case, its her fault for driving into the path of oncomming traffic.

I think MK's roundabouts have something against S's, curse them all.

Where are you going to get it fixed.

Presumably you hit her right side (probably front). If so - no legs for her to stand on. Also most insurance companies have a clause saying you must not admit liability (even if it's open and shut) - as it's admissable in court - it's for the insurance companies to sort out. So she could just be towing the party line and the insurance will sort it out once they have all the little incident drawings.

Hope it all gets sorted,

Gavin,
What bummer. Sorry to here about that. What with yours and Z's smash. I think there's a contract out on S's.
did you get any witnesses? If you need a hand with anything let me know. I know these guys that mix concrete for a living, boots, water, get my drift!

I'll pop round and take you out for a beer to cheer you up, in the S of course(long as it's not raining)

PS any plays on at the moment?

Hit the side of her car as she was crossing carriageway to gap in central reservation. Just about level with rear passenger door. Rather shaken and just did not think of stopping traffic for witnesses. I am too trusiting for my own good. I will buy one of those cameras tomorrow!

Bad luck mate! I had someone pull out in front of me on a roundabout back in April, so I can sympathise.

To help you try and look on the bright side:

1) I can't see how she can escape admitting liability if you went into the side of her

2) You'll get a full front-end respray and bonnet realignment as well as shiney new lights etc.

3) Although your S will be off the road for a few weeks (5 for mine), it's not exactly prime top-down weather any more, and you can stick a few miles on a courtesy car instead of the Tiv.

Hope that helps. It'll all work out in the end!

You do keep saying HER!

That would answer most of the points then!
