as you may have noticed i didnt post my video up!
i got within 10 foot of the place where i as getting the exhaust done and the car let go, loads of steam from the bonnet!!! didnt overheast and only lost about a litre of coolant but looks like a pipe has let go behind the engine, probably the infamous matrix hose!
ended up getting recovered from the garage car park!!!!!!!
gutted, never mind got it recovered to vauxhall in northampton my local Monaro garage and ill commence bolloxing on monday!!!!!!!
anyone know whether these hoses are kept as stock?

They were in my case and vaux sorted it in no time.
I've had this happen, but the AA were able to clip me pipes together (ooh er) enough for me to drive under my own power.
Scares the sh*t out of you when it goes doesn't it? Proper steam flying out the bonnet stuff.

yeah thought it had gone good as water was on the exhaust manifold but looking at the pipes you can see where it has run down.
this is the common rubbing on the engine bit how does vauxhall ensure me it doesnt happen again in another 20k miles?

Do it yerself mate, piece of cake. Just take the plastic engine cover off then cabletie the two coolant hoses to the metal rail near the bulkhead, 10 min job.
