Danger Roads Assessed
UK's 3rd most dangerous road is in Romford!
Discussion
Did anyone else see this on the news last night?
All the roads that were featured looked like absolute stunners! Proper get out in the sun, roof down tarmac entertainment.
Though saying that, now this report has been produced it probably gives them the oppurtunity to put some more tax camera's up.
Matt.

For anyone considering a jaunt up North to the Highlands to sample roads such as the Dalwhinne example, Invergarry etc, beware one of the biggest dangers - Deer.
You will arrive on some of the more remote roads that have been recently widened and resurfaced and have little or no traffic to speak of and swiftly come to the conclusion that there is a God after all.
You will then find Bambi waiting round the next corner doing everything in her power to let you meet that God in person.
Later in the evening and at night Deer will come off the hill and come down to water - making night time driving especially exciting - driving through wooded areas even more so. So beware - they are incredibly well camoflaged against heather and guaranteed to appear when least expected.
I've managed one head on, one glancing blow and several heart stopping near misses.....

They have the same problem in Canada with Elk, which if you hit one, you understand deceleration trauma.
This is the Canadians somewhat novel solution:

Can you get the whistles over here that you attach to the front of your car that scare deer off?

Very interesting. At last some ammunition for us to use against the sandal-weraing pinko types! Try this link (www.eurorap.org/)to get a rating for roads in your area. If these good roads are covered in cameras etc. write to your local council and demand to know why!!!
