Was my first track day at Anglesey having done Oulton park afew times, and what a track....Church to Rocket was alot of fun. Me and my Dad were both in one of the EK9's....got alot of pics will put some up if later. Also Circuit Days were very good, thanks to them.

I was instructing in the bright green TVR Tuscan Challenge car, and a metallic grey Exige, and I have to say, I was concerned that the day would be a disaster, given the number of cars there. When asked how many new people were in the briefing, a big proportion put their hands up, and taking into account the cross-section of cars there, I felt the day would not be good!! I have been instructing for 15 years, and I have to say, it was the best overall day I have worked on! Track discipline was excellent, peoples observation was excellent, stoppages were to the minimum, and queuing was virtually non existent. Other than the odd spin, I don't think we had any incidents! If I can take this opportunity to say a big THANKYOU to everyone there who may read this, for keeping out of our way, and or moving over very quickly, to allow us past in the green TVR. and to "Circuitdays" for a very, very successful day. Even the Caterham type car drivers were incredibly observant, ... a very rare occurance, given their limited rear view!!
To gtikurt, welcome to the world of trackdays, and if you ever require advice or help, feel free to ask.
Thanks again to all concerned, Howard
I was there, red MR2 Turbo. Loved that TVR cornering round Church, so stiff the front inside wheel was six inches in the air. Pretty quick. It was too cold for me to wander round the paddock much but I did hook up with a few people. I agree with the sentiments above, it was a great day out. It's a long lap on the GP circuit and it handled the number of cars pretty well, helped by considerate driving.
Was there in a Yellow 205. Absolutely top circuit. Struggled a bit on the straights as we don't have the legs for the long stuff, but the corners were totally amazing.
Never been to Anglesey when it's been anything but windy !
Haven't reviewed the in-car footage yet, but over the next few days I'll see if I can upload stuff to my webspace and YouTube.

All the bikers were arriving as I left on Saturday, and it is hard to believe that someone who was looking forward to having a day of enjoyment, should forfeit his life! RIP.Gassing Station | Track Days | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
