Next question.....alarm noise
Discussion
Just had an excellent blast around the B roads of York and clearly got the car up to temperature
.
Now when I return home after a mile or so of just running the car down and switching off I was greated with what can only be described as an alarm sound inside the cabin. Not the main car alarm or the tune from the immobiliser.
Does it tell you if the engine oil is too hot to switch the car off?....or something else?

Are your sure it was not your mobile ?
After getting 3 points in a traffic jam I don't have my phone switched on in the car
. Nope definately more of an alarm sound which stopped when I started the car back up again......let it run for a few more minutes and then turned off and all was fine.david.mt said:

The only thing that I can think of that makes a beep ( fast and high pitched in mine ) is if you leave the lights on, ignition off ( I think ) and open the drivers door.
.....well I did enter the garage with my lights on. Thanks.
