I have for a while now been trying to solve the problem of my ideal speed being just over the 1000 mark (about 1025/50)...this has proved to be a problem that will not go away mad

I have just noticed, however, that when the car is not running the rev counter is not actually on the zero - it is just above (about 50/75).

In conclusion then my idle speed is correct and my rev counter is showing about 50/75 revs to many.

Anyone know whether you can re-set the rev counter so it starts at zero??

Or do I just put it down to one of those 'TVR' things?

Many thanks in advance

Cheers
Jaye

Sometimes mine reads zero sometimes anything up to 500rpm when switching off the ignition. But as soon as I re-energise by turning key to the pre-start/run position it always goes to zero until the key is moved to the start position and the starter motor kicks in.
