Which do you guys prefer? Zertec seems to have more workmanship for less money. Leven, for what you get cost the earth!

Just looking for your opinions

I started a thread on this a while back - not got round to buying any yet cos of a few unexpected expenses (got ADSL , had a hard drive failure etc).

I like the look of the Zertec ones best.

Am gradually adding LT bits (switches, handbrake and steering column - so far)at each service and have to say that they feel good and look good. Bank balance aside, there is no comparison.

Have you seen the Zertec handbrake lever? It's either love or hate ! I know what I think!!!

I've got the Zertec stalks and i think their cool... apparently they are supposed to look a bit like paddle shift leavers !!!

at the end of the day they both do the same jobs and its down to preference on the looks..

enjoy

I have Leven buttons, handbrake, fag, lighter, window switches etc. and Zertec Stalks. Simply because I prefer the shape of the Zertec stalks.

Got LT's kit all around and love it. Specially the hand brake. A question of personal taste really.

I got the Zertec stalks because they were available long before the Leven ones, "however" they also look far beter IMHO. Got some Leven bits as well though like the pedals and window lift buttons just to even things out! Rich...

i think you're right, Zertec Stalks, handbrake and buttons, and leven ashtrays and air vents.

Anyone else got an opinion? and remember, Zertec is alot cheaper!

I assume you mean the windscreen vents? I am not aware that they have released the dash vents yet?

yes, sorry, windscreen vents, don't get too excited about the possibility of spending more money on a new product for the car.

I was very pleased with the quality of the LT equipment, so no complaints, not even with parting with all that cash!... but I did try to see if you could retrofit the alloy kit that's now standard on new Chimaera's... but it's all personal taste and I only get 50% of the votes!!!

Fitting the Zertec stalks is very easy, yet a little worrying at first, you need to get your mind around the fact that it is only a plastic stalk that you are cutting off and you will be ok!

OK - so basically undo the screws securing the sterring cowlingthen unclip the indicator switch units, these just clip out. Then with a junior hack-saw cut off the plastic stalk near the base and araldite the new alloy ones onto the remaining stump. Let the glue set then re-fit the rubber gaiters and re-assemble. I´m sure Clive will send you some full instructions if you ask. Rich...
