The yellow connector - Urgghhh
Discussion
No I don't have one - the wires have been soldered to the ignition barrel, but I need to do the bulkhead steering bearing and need to remove the column so want to put a connector back in to make removal easier. I will source a good quality connector from Maplins I suspect, but does anyone know what the peak current this component will take is, so I can size it's load capacity correctly?
Thanks

Hi Mark... cant help with the connector but are you sure you need to move the column that much to remove the bearing ? Mine is soldered up too and I replaced the bearing without a problem, just dropping the steering wheel onto the seat. I can take pics if you like to ensure the bearing is the same arramgement on mine as yours. Might save you a bit of work ?

Yes its not a great job to be doing with a bad back ! I had enough bother getting both arms into the footwell to work on the bearing hosing mounting bolts... fortunately a mate came round to help and did the engine side of things which made life easier... I had even considered asking the missus to help
but then
its bad enough having a broken car without breaking a marriage too

good luck

I'd rather get the column out and work stood up as much as I can
