Trying to refit my fuel pump, the good new is its a new one, the bad news is I'm not sure what fittings I should have for the outlet. I believe the fuel accumulator has a banjo fitting, the outlet of the fuel pump has a long screw thread with the outlet hole half way down.
The outlet can be removed (standard m12 thread) I just need to know what and where to order. I assume I need a m12 banjo bolt thingy, just not sure what its called or where to source.
I also need a small length of fuel hose from tank to pump and would like to know if anyone has fitted a filter between the tank and pump.
Thanks all (with this sorted she should be good to start up!!!!!)

I have fitted a filter between the tank and pump.

you will need to specify outlet diameter ( which I can't remember at the moment)
This was the only filter that I could find that came with a large enough connection

Nice pictures Norman, so the (replaceable) filter is,if I'm right, the light blue looking thing in second photo, this is after pump but then whats the little right angle fitting before pump, too complicated to just be an elbow surely?
Just had a thought, could it be a non-return valve ?

Yes that is the filter on the second photo, and yes it is after the pump.
The right angle is just a complicated 90 degree bend ( altough I might be wrong). When I took mine off I had a good look at it as I wondered what it was.I couldn't see anything fancy inside.
The bullet filter that I put in went between the tank and the pump.
Cheers

I've looked at it and - I've no idea, there is something inside. If you stick a screwdriver in from the pump direction there's something 'springy' inside.
According to the parts list its a 'fuel damper' but not sure what a fuel damper does (except damping fuel and I just dont know what is involved)
According to the Nissan 300zx web site the definition is 'The fuel damper, which consists of a diagram, reduces fuel pressure pulsation in the fuel feed in between the fuel filter and injectors'

Mmmmm, "something springy would suggest to me some sort of non return valve. two theories :
1 if low on fuel stops fuel running away from pump, particularly if cornering or braking hard ?
2 don't know what principle the fuel pump works on but most pumps "suck then blow" could it stop fuel returning to tank on "blow stroke", or maybe more likely dampens out any sort of pulsations in the fuel, caused by pump ?

To clarify fuel enters from tank and leaves to pump. The springy thing is at the back of the chamber and does not impeded the flow ie not a valve. It apprears to be a cushion. Will try to get photos later
ETA Duff photos from as my camera is with my misses in London. Will try some more nest week
