Just a little advice here.....I've just replaced the big fuse, but i'm not happy with the wiring, so am going to re-rout the fuse and replace it with a 120 amp circuit breaker, do you think this will be a good idea? no more fuse to burn and die (as they do), if it trips can just be reset and cost about the same as putting a sound system fuse box in the system like some others have done.

Do you think this would be ok??

I have heard people using Circuit Breakers and not having much luck with them, seems a 100A fuse will suffer very short spike here and there where a circuit breaker will trip straight off. Even with 120 you might find it triggering all the time, you could go higher of course but then you get to the point of defeating the object of having protection there at all.. indeed a number of people now say that it is next to pointless even at 100amp, 90amp will have fried most things anyway if it's going to happen and most things are separately fused because of this. Personally if re-wiring why not just remove it all together.

I've just replaced the standard fuse on mine with a 125A midi fuse which is properly encapsulated. Interestingly they quote it as blowing at 125A constant or 250A spike. That may be why folk have had problems with circuit breakers.
