I suppose there's nothing like being sat in the nice warm heated jewellers on the high street trying on a watch - but being able to save say 30% or more using an internet appeals!
I found a particular diamond TAG watch for my wife last year on holiday and have kicked ourselves ever since for not buying it there and then (especially since the $ rate has hit the floor since)
I've been around and phoned all my local high street jewellers and no-one has it in stock and it's a 'Customer Order Only' direct from TAG.
However, I have found two or three advertised on the net from UK specialist on-line watch companies. i'm wary of shelling out over £2K without having handled the goods?
Do all the 'selling at a distance' rules protect the individual? Or is it buyer beware? "I told you so..."
Opinions please? And is there PH etiquette about asking - "would you trust the '###### Watches Ltd'"?
Thanks
Graham

Yeah - but it's for my wife, and she likes it!

Well I didn't think it was for you.

Fair enough if her heart's set on that particular model, but a nice Lady Date Just would IMHO be a more enduringly stylish choice & better value (especially if bought pre-owned)

Our own very own Dominic http://www.hackettwatches.com/ may be able to sort you out.

If you pay by credit card, you will have recourse with legitimate purchases. Just keep records of your dealings and you'll be fine.

Bit the bullet and bought from Lingray Watches of Distinction. Really pleased, no issues and turned up, recorded delivery next day! Saved a significant amount on the latest 2009 TAG price!
Always a bit worried when shelling out but they get a 'tick' from me!
Thanks Dominic for enquiring anyway!
