Afternoon!

Having recently purchased an E46 M3 convertible, which came with a stainless steel exhaust, I was wondering if anyone could shed any light on which model it is?

I originally thought it was the Blue Flame exhaust but now not so sure as the GruppeM looks exactly the same and I can't see any engravings.

To hear the sound, type in ‘fastgerman m3 blue flame’ to Google to find the YouTube link – I have no access at work.

It sounds amazing if you floor it under load (obviously a blip is all I can safely get away with on YouTube), but it’s a bit too loud when pootling around.

It’s definitely not Milltek (solid rear section instead of a series of pipes), Remus, Scorpion, Magnex etc all seem to have engraved logos on.

It might be an AC Schnitzer exhaust (I see a lot of these fitted to E46 M3s).

It's not a Schnitzer as those have joined together tailpipes, this is mine: -

I'm not a 100% sure but it looks like this underneath: -

Although I can't see any graphics or engravings

Its probably just a custom made one. Done at the local exhust shop or wherever.
If its too loud I would sugget a Milltek. Failing that standard ones can be bought for a tenner on ebay. Easy to change over.

sure it's not one of these miltek's? the tail pipes look a lot like miltek ones.

Could be a JP, custom, blue flame or GruppeM - I'll take some pics!

It's definitely not a Milltek as the rear box is one solid piece on them and mine is a series of pipes.

The 'smoke' also appears to come from 2 exaust exits only when idle and if one boots it all 4 exhausts open up and it sounds like a Ducatti, which I love.

The A25 is a good route, I live in Guildford and if a fancy a drive it's generally down to Ripley with a stop at Box grove - doesn't get better than this unless you can be bothered to drive to Wales

It's the same as this one - contacted the guy and he doesn't know either as no markings on it.

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1377699.htm

What is it?

Two silencers at the back like this, rounded pipes and the more central of the two exhaust tips sticking out further.

It's not a Milltek, not a Blue Flame, not an Eissenman, not a GruppeM, Not a Borla, not a Rogue Engineering, not AC Schnitzer.... running out of makes to check now!

Help please!

Looks like this but I don't think it's the same - this looks like a copy of something - I hope!

I had one of these fitted for about 2 days, couldn't stand it any longer. The noise under half or full acceleration was ridiculously loud and the drone at motorway speeds did my head in!!!

If it's the same it goes high pitched and Ferrari like after 5k revs but too loud under 2.5k revs. What did you change to? Schnitzer looks a bit funny to me and I don't like the standard rasp. Like the miltek and gruppem from sounds I've heard on you tube!
