I have just found out that the track rod ends for the tuscan are from a rover SD1 1976 onwards and cost around £6.00 compared to £19 from a TVR dealer but does any one know what the tie bars are off as when i tried the motor factors they didn't list a rover steering rack or tie bars

Richard, Mine needed replacing last year around Nov when it was discovered at MOT time that the rubbers had split. I searched high and low looking for the right part number but couldn't find what I was looking for so bit the bullet and ordered them from TVR Power in the end, £15 each plus VAT and delivery I seem to recollect. When they arrived I was sure I'd made a note of what they were off, or any part numbers, but I can't find anything at the moment. There were a lot of similar part numbers I found I seem to recollect, but unless you know for sure, it's not worth a gamble. I'll keep searching in case I can find my scrap of paper that I probably wrote it down on! I ended up buying a ball joint splitter (Halfrauds) and changed them myself prior to letting Andy at APM set up my suspension (had Gaz Gold Pro fitted at the same time).

I have the quinton hazel part number for the track rod end if you need it ,it was the steering rack end that i was wondering if any one had a clue as to what vehicle the rack was off as TVR dealer wants £65 plus vat per side when for a car such as Audi cost around £20

My mistake - you already have the part numbers I was talking about - sorry I don't have any info on the steering rack itself. Have you tried PM'ing Varleyhyd as he might have some info. If you can't find him here, he will be on the Sag forum.

Rimmerbros (rimmerbros.co.uk) has them. The partnumber is GSJ149 if I'm correct.

There Should Be...... I just spent alot more than I should have done.

Tuscan/Tamora/Sagaris/T350 : Wheel Bearing Assemblies from a TVR specialist are over £130 each (Front & Rear both the same part).

However, the part is actually from a Chrysler Jeep Cherokee (1999 - 2004) and can be purchased off E-Bay for under £60 ! ! ! !

I think they may be TVR specific, like the rest of the rack.

The earlier 336mm long ones are allegedly Ford part number 6180350.
