Think you can still buy new.
Was once given the following website: www.powertrackbrakes.co.uk
Perhaps they can help you.

Had this problem myself and would like to overhaul it but couldn't find the right kit and ended up buying a new one from a friendly wedge owner who had one in stock.....

I bought one from a normal motor factors 2 weeks ago MKIV Cortina!
There are also repair kits available on Ebay

ETA take time and care when bleeding the system after, you may need to do it 2 or 3 times!

Fill with brake fluid before installation is a great help in bleeding it quickly once and for all, in all situations that the brake master was completely empty after a rebuild or new installation (not only wedges).

Would start to check basics first myself like: ignition, throttle & throttlepot, airflowmeter still ok, etc.

By the way, think you would get more/better replies if you would post it as a new topic, as I don't think that the brakes have anything to do with this.
