Hello all, I got caught when attempting to re-register a UK registerd Viper here in Sweden with the cats removed, I think they had,nt seen those levels of emissions for some time !
I need to either buy a pair of secondhand cats, or even pay to borrow a pair to get it through the test.
Any one know of a pair anywhere ? I am in the UK every month on business so collection (or return) is not a problem.
Regards, Mark.

Red, 2003. Have a look at www.blocket.se to see what they are asking for them over here (divide the price by 12 to get to GBP), the site is in swedish but not too hard to work out.
We usually import bikes and boats from the UK but maybe US cars might be something in the future.
Cheers, Mark.

If you're doing it as a business, then you're going to be liable for tax on income. Which makes the deal not so sweet. After import costs, shipping, headlight changes, etc, required to get through the Swedish import test ( and a regular Swedish MOT) - I don't think there'll be that much profit left.
Importing privately - you're only allowed one car per year.

Headlights were ok, only a couple of other no cost minor jobs needed doing, we have a importing company to Sweden and ship a container here every month from the uk, I think it will work out ok.

OK - let me know what you've got coming over. (Just interested).
I'm based in Dalarna.

Edited again to add - just checked your web-site and seen where you're based.
I drive right by your place on the way to Skavsta.

Is the Viper for you or for selling on ?

Thanks Dave T, which one of his fleet of monster guzzlers did Terry come and pick the cats up in ? He,s got a carbon footprint the size of Wales !

Andybe: I will be selling the Viper on as soon as new number plates come through the post, it is a nice one with only 17000 miles (27200km), it might even be worth advertising it on one of the German websites, apparantly they get a better deal with the euro being so strong now, not sure about side exit exhausts being legal in Germany though. Do you know anything about that ?

No, it came from my friend Terry in Ampthill, it was never advertised for sale, I think he had it for about 2 or 3 years, he got it through ebay when the previous owner up north somewhere was going through a nasty divorce and needed some cash in a hurry (as you do when you get to arguing over half a loaf of bread with your ex-wife and soliciters get their oar in).
