March 2009 Photo Competition - Winners!

There were some superb entries this month and some interesting interpretations. It is tough to leave out some great images but to get to the point.

In third place is this amazingly detailed image from Stiggy, beautifully composed and executed but my only concern was with the large square catchlight which I feel becomes the point of attention.

In second was the photo from EmmaP, it is superbly captured and well balanced it also shows her capability as the sunlit whites are bright without any hint of being blown whilst the shadows show lots of detail.

I've never won one of these before, and wasnt expecting to on this one either, some fantastic shots in both the entry and chat threads

Comngrats to all, Stig's is a great bold portrait. I particularly like Emma's lovely composition with the colors and shapes giving a really nice image, now I know what seperates the pros from us ordianry folk. Well done to Andy for the winning image

chuffed I came anywhere this month as it was completely outside of my comfort zone, it was just lucky I managed to shoot sarah with the paint!

eta well done andy and everyone else for another excellent comp, its finally returned!!
