Winglets or Splitter and Reverse?

Help required.

I have a mk1 - Can I fit winglets or a splitter to it? Has anyone done it and is it straightforward or messy?
Do either work and which would be best?........

Lots of questions - If anyone has done it, do they get ripped off as soon as I negotiate the nearest speed hump?

Secondly my reverse light doesnt work, it isnt the bulb or fuse. It's looking like the switch on the gearbox. They seem cheap enough on tinternet but where the hell is it fitted???

I can't find any literature and now have been told you have to go in from the top which involves mess in the cabin.

Has anyone done this and can supply an idiot guide.
