Wheels anyone???

I notice a lot of folk buying another pair of wheels. They also say condition is not important. If these are for the track then it is very important to make sure they are straight and true. I got caught out initially with soem "cheap" BMW rims, whcih when spun up were a crock of s

Just thought you need to just get them checked at a tyre shop before parting with your hard earned.

I heard the CV8 wheels are the same as some fitted to the BM's - is this true ? If so, what model were they fitted to ?
you can use BMW wheels if you're choosy about the offset when selecting them but you need a small shim made up to fit the hub as the bmw centre ring is slightly larger than the holden/hsv spec so the stress/loading would all be on the bolts rather than on the hub and bolts, its only 1-2mm iirc but its enough that its not worth the risk without some form of shim/packing to make it a snug fit. Theres a couple of people on here with BMW wheels fitted I'm sure they can give more details.
