However side winds are awful whilst wheelying. There was a fair breeze on Sunday which meant a few 3rd gear mingers landed ahead of schedule.

Glad you kept it upright though Dennis. I've done the whole verge-tracking thing on the road and it's never fun. More fill-your-pants scary.

Side wind. Hmmmm, never a good thing.

I would imagine that if you were a track which is right next to an airfield, like, say Nogaro... and the wind gets up. Well, you could easily get blown to the side of the track whilst on the back wheel in 3rd gear at about 120 mph... Who knows, it could even cause an embarrassing 'feet off the pegs' slapper down the straight. Ahem.

Donington Park as you finish going past the stands after the Dunlop bridge just before the esses on to the start/finish. Bloody windy the day I did Ron Haslam's Race School.

The first time that nut and I did Cadwell, there was a rip roaring side wind blowing across the hills. It made the front end feel somewhat vague as we came up Park straight at around 145mph on the cold, damp surface.
