Good choice!

My parents have run a CL420 for 8 and a half years, and for 45,000 miles. Great car, and nothing major or hugely expensive has gone wrong (always a danger with older S-Classes!)

Superb examples are getting few and far between now, but good luck with your search!

I've had them before so good cars provided they are looked after properly.

Unfortunately, can be massive money pits too but a) luck of the draw and b) you need to bear this in mind when biting the bullet.

They are not selling theirs by any chance?

Not sure if it is the model you are after but I may be selling my W140 1998 CL 500 soon, low milage, silver and immaculate.

If you are looking for this model and not the later W215 model (2000 onwards)then please let me know. If not good luck with your search.
