Dear all

For once, a serious post from me - apologies if it's in the wrong forum but I've put it here to get the most exposure.

I've just received an e-mail from an old mate with horrendous news about his new grandson (just 4 weeks old) who has been diagnosed with Peters' Anomoly. More details are on this link.

www.warringtonguardian.co.uk/news/4252836.Bobby_s_...

They urgently need donations to make this operation possible & to give little Bobby a chance

You can make donations into Bobby's bank account at the Abbey.
Bank account number: X15486588BRO.
Sort code: 09-00-00.
Alternatively, you can make cheques payable to The Bobby Brown Fund and send them to The Warrington Guardian, The Academy, 138 Bridge Street, Warrington, WA1 2RU.
You can also transfer money directly from your bank account to Bobby's using the number 00050005 and Bobby's Fund account details.
Bobby's Fund has been provided by The Shannon Bradshaw Trust, registered charity number 1113368.
If you have any problems making a donation you can call them on 01925 471170.

Many thanks.

Tragic case, but off topic, do parents never think of the implications when naming their children? The mind boggles.

Dear All

I've just received this from Bobby's grandad - thought you might like to know how the appeal is progressing.

Dai,

I can not thank you enough, your response is gratefully appreciated please pass on our heart felt thanks to one and all, at times like this we all feel so humble.

Please check out the attached website to obtain an up date of funds being raised and the details surrounding my grandson http://www.warringtonguardian.co.uk/news/features/...

I have also set up a website for my younger daughter Lyndsay who is performing a parachute jump to raise the funds http://www.justgiving.com/parachutejumpforbobbybro...

Once again many thanks

Some of you have asked to be kept informed - I've just received this from Bobby's grandad :

Dai,

Yes the £50K has been reached, however they are due to fly out tomorrow
Thursday and 1st op is scheduled for 21st and if all goes well the second is
due 28th so keeping everything crossed everything goes well.

They will have to go back to America every 3 months initially with local
care being undertaken at Alder Hey Liverpool to change lenses and cleaning
then once a week for first 3 months then after seeing surgeon in America
another decision as to what after care is necessary

I will keep you informed on weekly basis or as soon as I get any info from
our Catherine and Wes

Thanks to everyone

Regards

Bernie
