Papplewick Classic Car Meetings
Discussion
I was in the Griffon last night and enquired about this meet.
Lady behaind the bar told be that the manager had told her that he didn't think it was happening this year as no-one had contacted him to arrange it.
Not sure who is waiting on who (whom?), or who / which club "owns" this event ...
Any ideas?

Well being one of the long standing attendees going back to the days of the meet being in Underwood and Watnall before the Griffin, I think the main man is now Counciler Mick, if not Cobra Kev (who doesn't appear to have the cobra anymore)
So I think Paul being a Rolls Royce boy you're in the best place to give either of them a nudge.

Hi all, I am new to the forum but started going to the Papplewick meeting when i found out about it late last year.
I just spoke to Mick Murphy and he assures me he has already spoken to the manager of the Griffin's Head and the meeting is due to continue as normal.
The first meeting being the first Wednesday in May
I look forward to seeing you there in a couple of weeks

Im up for it... lets hope the weather holds out and we get a good turn out. Spoke to the 2 guys who organise it this week and its all still going ahead. My Cerb decided to break an engine mounting on the way home from the Chatsworth TVR meet at the weekend so its a silver corsa for us!
