Aah good old twpbugger.... never did find out whether he was a troll or not. Never did see photos of the S1 Exige he wrecked. He was a bit of a tt to be honest.

Didn't he then go and buy another one?

PS. John _ we've got a few runs shortly if you and Steve fancy coming out; haven't seen you about for ages.

I do indeed remember it Wacca - I'd not long been here myself at that time either... probably just registered IIRC

I contacted S Works off line about it as he pitched in with some good stuff and being a newbie, I didn't feel it was my place to wade in with a load of stuff. Contacting Tim actually started a cool relationship which still exists today, albeit from considerable distance - that's mainly why I remember it thumbup

Cars been a bit ill since Christmas, Zebs. Its spent most of 2009 with its guts all over the garage. I finally finished putting it back together and it started first time yesterday. Well, almost!

So yeah, it now needs an MOT and Ill be ready to get out. Will the runs be on TOH?

Yes, runs will be on Toh _ but if you fancy a evening blast to the pub, happy to do that on a warm evening. Good to hear the car is back together.

There are quite a few loti now going out for runs from Toh, many are on here as well: Toenheel, SeanyD, AstonXIII, Purdy, Calvert, And9s, Lee111s, Ad111s, tnjjeffrey, Stringthing, GMCracing and a few others _ you're welcome along.

I think he got another one and did post for a while but then disappeared again _ they were fun threads though; popcorn moments every one of them, particularly when we were waiting for photos of the first exige.

Hello there everybody, I am still very much around and keep a close eye on the forum. I just never post anymore due to the abuse that I received many moons ago with regard as to whether I owned an Exige or not, or as to whether or not i was a TROLL!!

I must confess that reading back over my posts, I did at times, come across as a little immature & I almost cringe when reading back over the posts!! However, everything I posted was of truth and I wish that everybody could actually have believed me, rather than grill me at any given opportunity!! I even posted a picture of my 2nd Exige with my name on it, and still doubt remained!!

Here is the picture again:

I no longer own the Exige (unfortunately) I sold the car on, but as I said, still keep a close eye on the forums, and would like to contribute one way or another again in the future!!

Cheers all,

your one and only pistonhead legend - TWPBUGGER beer

Lovely car. Bit embarrassed to see and hear how you were treated but I hope you give this place another chance.

Its a shame another s1 exige got laid to rest but hey, makes the others even rarer biggrin

What did you get to replace it then? Why did you sell it on?

I currently have a Mini Cooper & Vauxhall Astra Coupe. I had to sell the Lotus as I needed money for a deposit on my 1st house.

Hoping to be back in a Lotus in the near future. I will then attend a Lotus run so you can meet the pistonhead legend (myself) in person!!

Hi Mr Bugger and welcome back. I've a feeling you're a decent guy and look forward to meeting you one day. As you said you got a fair bit of stick initially but good on you for accepting your early shortcomingsthumbup
Why not flog the Mini and buy a sheddy S1 and treat it as a project. Take the clams off, give everything a good clean, strip the suspension, clean up the wishbones and and replace all the bushes etc, replace the dampers, interior re-trim etc, etc. Take your time with the work and do things as you can afford them. When you've finished it all come and have a play on track - the car will amaze you and you'll soon forget posing, 0-60 figures and all that crap!

I would love to if it was up to me, but the mini was a gift to my g/f and I do not think I could persuade her to sell it. Surely in the near future with a bit of saving my dreams will be realised. Thanks for the nice welcome aswel - Makes a change, but appreciated!!
