Arrive Alive? Another failure
Discussion
Reacting to the number of motorcyclists dying on North Wales roads, the Arrive Alive speed trap crew decided to operate a policy of zero tolerance to bikers to, "save lives"
This included hidden speed traps as well as the overt.
In 2001 ten died, in 2002 seven died. Then in 2003 Arrive Alive brought it's full weight to the problem.
So far this year eighteen have died. And still they claim that taking pictures saves lives.

at the end of the day the welsh police and scamera partnerships will be the only brs in wales as everyone else would have had enough and moved to the mainland (probably destroying the bridges on the way out)the holiday industry surely must be suffering from this nazi-like speed enforcement.....especially as thieving in wales seems to be activly encouraged as there aint no cops nicking those who break 'real' laws (thou shalt not steal.....one of the 10 commandments handed down to moses by the mystical puff of logic......anyone know which comandment was 'thou shalt not do 35 in a 30'????)
something id like to know is when are all the guys who ride hyabussa's and fireblades downgrading to ar125's to avoid the purely cash revinue talivans on the m4????
(hells angels on honda shadows (or even fs1e's!!).......that would be novel!! )

Not that I'm condoning the Arrive Alive campaign, but hasn't there also been a large increase in the number of bikers 'enjoying' those roads in recent years too? With a long hot, dry summer there will have been more bikers out for Sunday runs too compared to the usual damp summer's afternoon in Wales?
(I'm not saying Wales is a drab place BTW - look at my name - there's a bit of Welsh in me boyo)

Of course, after receiving a NIP, the Third Commandment applies ... "Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain"!
And when it comes to signing (or not) the NIP, the Ninth Commandment ... "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour" is worth remembering!

PS - for the benefit of jeffryarcher, the authority I quote for for this is The Holy Bible (King James Version), Exodus 20:2-17 (also at Exodus 34:12-26 and Deuteronomy 5:6-21) . For assistance in searching for these authorities, the Ten Commandments are also known as the Decalog - S

While we're on the subject, I Peter 2v13, "Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man....". That covers 35 in a 30. While I have little trouble with 30, I have to admit to needing to ask forgiveness for the NSLs.....

Peter Ward said:Matthew 6:12 "... forgive us our sins ...". But also Matthew 6:13 "Lead us not into temptation ...".

Clearly also, there was a problem with traffic in Biblical times, consider:
"The mother of Sisera looked out at a window, and cried through the lattice, 'Why is his chariot [so] long in coming? Why tarry the wheels of his chariots?'" -- Judges 5:28
