The Tamora rear number plate

Lost my plate whilst in Spain last week, when doing
a track day, just seems to have melted it and lifted
off the plate stickies. Do people fix their's on
via fixing screw's through the silencer heat shield
or can you get heat proof plates ! and then with
very good plate stickies ?

Mines held on with double sided sticky pads from Halfords.
And like you, mines on the silencer cover of a Tamora. I do have sports pipes and small silencers so perhaps not as much heat on the silencer cover?

Didn't fancy drilling holes through it - ruins the look (all in my opinion of course).

Mines held on by screws (onto my carbon heat deflector no less)... never had a problem. pics on the above thread.

Self tapping screws hold mine thro heatshield.

Bolts with nylocks & washers does the job. Make sure they are not too long otherwise they foul the back box. How do I know this? I foolishly believed the retard in Halfrauds that said the plastic bolts & pads they told me I should use would not melt. Boll*cks 20 mile round trip and the number plate vanished. They did make me a new plate for free having taken it up with their head office so I guess all ends well.
