Hey Guys!

I have a couple of questions hope some of you nice chaps can help! smile

I currently drive a T350T 4.0 with a huge spec, and I have come accross a very good deal on a 360 that im thinking about going for (need to sell my car first) The car im thinking about going for has around 45k miles on it, is there anything that should have been changed that I should check? Anything I should really look out for?

I would think the running cost could be fairly similar to my TVR, am I right in thinking that?

Any info would be great!

Cheers in advance!

biggrin

Oh one last thing, the entrance to my garage is a bit narrow, it has plenty of room when you get in tho, I can get my TVR and my old Evo 8 in with no problems and I have had my friends rear clam off his Noble M400 with no probs width wise is the 360 much wider?

Thanks again!!

Well the 360 is wide, but I think it should just fit into the average sized garage no problem.

The 360'S Overall: width 1922 mm (75.7 in)wide.

As for the car you are looking at, the general consensus is buy on condition rather than mileage. I would definitely get a inspection done on it though, is the car located far from you?

Also, if the car is under 9 years old you can get a Ferrari official warranty i think (subject to another inspection rolleyes) I think it is about £2-3k a year.

Hope that helps

Keep the T350T .driving
Or get a 355 - The 360 is nothing special im afraid .tumbleweed
Sorry to be negative but if its performance you want you have it, if you want a badge get a good 355.
Its also better looking.

CHAPS, I'm in a similar position, just sold my T350 (through PH) and now on the look out for a Gallardo, but its the running costs which I am worried about.

You're worried about running costs? You should see a reduction now you've sold your Trevor!

Funnily enough, I've heard that a lot. I reckon over the space of a year I spend on average £500 a month on it. Including servicing etc.

£500 a month ?? I've had my Gallardo for 2 years, in that time it's cost me about £3200 for 2 services (£1000 annual, £2200 15k mile) and £600 for a couple of new lamda sensors. If it cost £6k a year, i'd think twice about keeping it.

Don't get me wrong the Trev is really good fun I just fancy something different, plus I have come in to a small amount of money to.

I dont know, my car is really really loud!!! Long drives are terrible! and the ride is terrible around town! I still love it but maybe im getting old..(25lol)I just fancy a car thats fast, looks good and wont knock my fillings out around town!

Any one have one from Aberdeen they wouldnt mind trying to fit in my garage?! Don't worry I will let the car back out!! lol

Can anyone think of anything to look out for when buying?

I was also looking at an Aston V8 Vantage, not sure what route to go down.

Oh one last thing, I like the size of my boot on the TREV whats the boot like on the 360? my pals Noble same mid engine set up only has a tiny amount of space behind the seats, is this the case for the 360?

Thanks again guys!!

The 360 has a quite large front boot. It will comfortably take 3-4 full sports bags. Also behind the seats is designed to take a full set of golf clubs. So thats quite a bit of extra space.

I hired a 360 F1 for a long weekend and a few things stood out for me.

There is bags of space for luggage, we had 2 bags, a tent, 2 large rolls mats, food, cooking equipment, coats and blankets, sleeping bag etc and I could still put both seats all the way back.

The second thing was how solid it felt, this was a car with about 35,000 miles on it and it felt very tight. The interior was well screwed together aswell but seemed more worn than I would expect of a 9 year old car.

Dave!

I was searching the net for a pic like that, looks like a good amount of space considering the type of car, plus the space behind the seats.

Has anyone heard of any engine rebuilds required with the 360? I take it they are not made of chocolate like the TVR speed six engine?!

I'm really looking for a car thats build quality is a bit better than the TREV.

Cheers!!

Ferraris are galaxies (pardon the pun) ahead of TVR in build quality. They are superbly engineered bits of kits and most engineering oriented people find them a joy to work on.

Bebs on here has done pretty high mileage in his, about 70k I think. If they are serviced properly they go on for ages, as a very well piece of engineering should do.

The boot is VERY deep, which allows for the luggage you see.

HERE! Is that your motor then? scratchchin narrows the identity options down a bit, especially with that stripe hehe

Sorry but that is simply not true. I am on my 4th TIV and have had F 355, 360 and a 430. The Ferrari's are undoubtably better cars but MUCH more expensive to buy and run.

In short you get what you pay for.
